We have a new car in our office parking lot. Our resident designer and car enthusiast Chris Barrow is now the owner of this little bad boy, The Fiat 500C Abarth. As product designers, every time one of us gets a new toy in the office, whether it is the new iPhone or a new ride, we get excited like pre-adolescent boys on Christmas morning. So naturally when Chris told us he was getting an Italian sports car starting with the letter "F", we assumed he had won the lottery, put in his two week notice and a red Ferrari would be waiting for us in the parking lot so that we can show it off on our personal facebooks and instagrams.
Needlessly to say, we were a bit disappointed when we saw the Fiat instead. That is until we got a closer at the car, what this car lacks in size, it more than makes up for in wickedness and bravado. From the 1.4L Turbo to the surprisingly loud and throaty dual exhaust, this little Italian car was suffering from a bad case Napoleon complex, and that is a good thing. Abarth has always been bold in its design approach and the Fiat 500C Abarth is no exception. It has a way more aggressive looks on the outside than the stock 500, the audio is powered by Beats audio and it is a convertible! As much as we like this Fiat though, hopefully next time, Chris will bring in an Italian sports car starting with a different letter "F".
